In Nath took over the akhara that had been established by Guru Baijnath in in the Kamla Nagar area, and ran it until when he handed it over to his son, Vikram Kumar. It is now known as the Guru Prem Nath akhara. Nath was a Delhi police officer, and received a President’s Medal for his good works and athletic fame.
